Crochet Easter Egg Covers Pattern (US)
These egg covers are easy to make and won't take too much time, but you do need at least a basic understanding of crocheting. Once you have the basics down, the possibilities are endless!
To make egg covers, you'll need to start gathering materials.
You'll need:
- crochet colourful yarn,
- a 4mm hook,
- scissors, and
- a darning needle.
Terms used in the pattern (US)(UK)
ch - chain
st - stitch
sc - single crochet ("dc - double crochet" in the UK)
dc - double crochet ("tr - treble" in the UK)
hdc - half double crochet ("htr - half treble" in the UK)
inc - increase - 2 single crochet (US); 2 double crochet(UK)
sl - slip stitch
sk -skip ("miss" in the UK)
Let's start!
EGG CUP
1. Make a magic ring
2. Make 6 sc in the magic ring
3. Pull the back yarn to close the centre
4. Make inc in each crochet st ( mark the first stitch in the row)
5. Make inc in the first st then 1 sc in the next st (repeat the sequences 6 times).

6. Make inc in the first st then 1 sc in the next 2 st (repeat the sequences 6 times).

7. In the next 6 rows make sc in each st.

8. Change the colour and make a hdc in each stitch. Finish the sl.
EGG CUP STAND
1. 1. Make a magic ring
2. Make 6 sc in the magic ring
3. Pull the back yarn to close the centre
4. Make inc in each crochet st (we mark the first stitch in the row)
5. Make inc in the first st then 1 sc in the next st (repeat the sequences 6 times)
6. Make inc in the first st then 1 sc in the next 2 st (repeat the sequences 6 times), sl
7. Make a frill around the cup stand
Make 1 ch , then (in the next st make 4 times hdc, then skip 1 st and in the next st make sl). Repeat this sequence until the end of the lap.
8. Sew together

BUNNY EARS (2pcs)
1. Make 8ch
2. Put the hook in the 2nd st from the beginning of the chain and make hdc, next make 3 more hdc in the next 3 st
3. Make a dc in the next 3 st

4. In the last st, make 4 times dc

5. Make a dc in the next 3 st and hdc in the next 4 st
Finish the sl
